Editorial Policy & Data Sources

Last updated: May 1, 2026

LeaseInVietnam publishes relocation, housing, scam-awareness, and market-intelligence content for foreigners moving to Vietnam. This page explains how we collect, review, and update information before it appears on the site.

What our content is for

Our content is designed to help readers:

  • Understand neighborhood tradeoffs, rental budgets, and common relocation friction.
  • Spot scam patterns before paying deposits or sharing documents.
  • Prepare for practical steps such as banking, temporary residence registration, utilities, pet relocation, and work-permit planning.
  • Decide when they should contact a qualified local professional.

LeaseInVietnam is not a law firm, bank, immigration authority, licensed brokerage, or financial adviser. Legal, tax, immigration, and financial decisions should be verified with qualified professionals and official sources.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize sources in this order:

  1. Official government, bank, airline, school, hospital, developer, and service-provider pages.
  2. Publicly available price listings, marketplace pages, property portals, and vendor documentation.
  3. Direct partner or operator input, where relevant.
  4. Community reports from expat groups, forums, Reddit, and social media.
  5. Editorial analysis based on repeated market patterns and reader questions.

Community reports are treated as signals, not proof. When a scam or risk article references community reports, the goal is to explain the pattern and prevention checklist, not to make final legal findings about a named party.

Update cadence

  • Legal, visa, work-permit, banking, and compliance guides should be reviewed whenever rules materially change, and at least periodically.
  • Rental market pages should be refreshed when pricing or inventory patterns shift.
  • Property pages are point-in-time listings and can become outdated quickly.
  • Scam radar content is updated when a pattern changes or a clearer prevention step becomes available.

Corrections

If we find a factual error, stale recommendation, broken source, or unclear commercial relationship, we aim to correct it promptly. Corrections may include editing the article, adding a clarification, changing the CTA, or removing unsupported claims.
